Athletic Department information for fall sports:
Physicals: Per MHSAA guidelines, any student entering grades 6-12 this fall that is interested in playing a school sport in the fall, winter, or spring must have a physical on file in the athletic office before any try out or practice can occur. The physical must be dated on or after April 15, 2025. The Jonesville Health Care Walk-In Clinic can do the physicals for $20. Any Karim Health & Wellness Clinic can do physicals for $35. Both locations will have the physical examination forms on site. The physical examination form must be completely filled out on both sides before the athletic department can accept it as official. The physical examination form must be signed by the M.D., D.O., Physician’s Assistant, or Nurse Practitioner. You can drop off your completed physicals to the High School office or give it to your coach.
Fall Sports Pre-season meeting for all Jonesville Middle School and Jonesville High School students interested in playing a fall sport: On August 4 at 7:00pm in the high school gym there will be a meeting for all athletes and their parents/guardians. The meeting will take less than an hour. The meeting will start out with new updates to the athletic handbook and certain points of emphasis. The athletic handbook will need to be signed by the student athlete and a parent/guardian by the end of the first week of practice. The athletic trainer will be next as he discusses the protocols and procedures that need to be followed. We will finish up with each athlete attending a sport specific meeting with the coaching staff of that sport to go over program expectations.
There are or will be times throughout the summer where each program will be offering opportunities for conditioning or skill work. These are not mandatory but will give students the opportunity to work with members of the coaching staff as each program transitions into their season. Summer Meal Pick Up Information
Per the USDA, summer meals are only to be picked up by a parent or a guardian for their own children. You are NOT allowed to pick up for minors outside of your household. We realize that this will be challenging for some families but we must be compliant with USDA guidelines and regulations. Violations of these guidelines put the entire program at risk.
We want to thank our food service staff who work so hard to provide this service to our community!

JCS would like to introduce our new Ag/FFA teacher Miss Ashley Carr. Miss Ashley Carr has a deep-rooted background in the Agriculture industry from childhood as well as extensive experience in Agricultural Education. From a young age, she was immersed in the daily operations of her family's cattle business. This is where her love for the Agriculture Industry grew.
Her experiences have provided her with a strong foundation in the culture and values that drive organizations like the FFA. She participated in FFA as a student and has served three years as an FFA advisor in her previous roles. This experience has equipped her with a unique perspective on the needs and priorities of both youth development organizations like the FFA as well as the importance of excellence in the classroom environment.
Miss Carr earned a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture- Agricultural Educator at Kansas State University in May of 2022. She has spent three years working as an agricultural educator in the State of Kansas post-graduation. As a result, she has been responsible for planning and executing various educational events and programs for youth, including leading judging teams, attending conferences, and leadership career development activities. She has successfully organized and executed events as an FFA Advisor that required attention to detail, communication with diverse stakeholders, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously. She is passionate about youth leadership and mentorship and has experience working closely with students to guide them in academic and extracurricular activities.
We look forward to her strengthening our program even more! Exciting times for our Ag/FFA program! Go Comets!
