What’s Happening at Williams:  Week of August 17th

  • We had a fantastic Open House night last Wednesday.  Families met teachers, received all the necessary paperwork, and ended the night with some delicious food and snow cones.  It was so good to see everyone!  The kids did a lot of growing and we love seeing their bright smiling faces.

  • The first day of school will be Tuesday, August 18th.  Doors open at 7:40 and school starts at 8:00.  Please do not drop your child(ren) off before 7:40 am.  School dismisses at 2:55.  We ask that you stay in your car when dropping off and picking up your child.  Adults will be stationed in each area outside and inside to help your child.  Parents cannot enter hallways during drop off and pick ups.  Thanks for your cooperation.

  • Once again, all students are able to receive free breakfast and lunch this year.

  • All students should come to school with a water bottle.  The first couple weeks can be quite hot.

  • If you haven't set up bussing transportation and your child will need that please contact the office at 849-9175 Ex.1

  • If you are dropping off and/or picking children up, we ask that you remain patient as everyone learns/embarks on this process. We want to make sure that everyone is safe during this time.  The first two days are always the worse and then it gets better.

  • We will continue to use 3 separate drop-off areas. Our KPrep and Kindergarten students should be dropped off in the front u-shaped drive by the office. Our 1st, 2nd, and 5th grade students should be dropped off in the west lot off of Maumee Street. and our 3rd & 4th grade students should be dropped off in the back lot, also off of Maumee Street. If you have more than one child attending Williams, please drop off all children using the lowest grade level drop-off location of your youngest child.  Please pull forward to the end of the sidewalk when dropping off and picking up.  This prevents people from being stuck in the road.

  • Lastly, we are all looking forward to seeing our students on Tuesday and getting the year kicked off.  Go Comets!
