What’s Happening at Williams:  Week of August 24th

Good Evening Parents!  It was a pleasure getting to know all of your children this week!  We established expectations, went over rules that keep us safe, built relationships with each other, and got to know each other's interests through classroom activities.  The Comet Pride was strong!  Here are some things to know moving forward:

  • The students will not be bringing home iPads or Chromebooks this year, so you will not have to pay insurance on them.  Instead we will charge them here in special classroom carts and they will only use them when needed in the classroom.  We do monitor screen time.  However, if you have a Middle Schooler or High Schooler, they will still bring their devices home and you will need to pay the $20 insurance.

  • When dropping off your children, please have them exit on the sidewalk side.  That is how we keep kids out of traffic and safe.  All kids can and should get out the same door.  Please review this with your child/children.

  • If you have not turned in your paperwork from the open house please do so!

  • If you are thinking about volunteering in the school or being a chaperone on a field trip this school year please remember that background checks have to be done yearly.  Call the office and we can send one home with your child.

  • This next week will be a full week of school.  Take care!
