Weekly Update for October 4, 2021
The Book Fair Is Here: Students will be able to walk through and see the items with their class on Monday and Tuesday. They will then have a “Wish List” that they can fill out and list the items that they want with the cost.. They will bring it home and share with you to decide what items you would like to buy. Students will then have the chance to purchase items. Please only send cash or checks. Book Fair will not take place during conferences this year.
Please remember to call the office at 849-9175 or email cvankampen@jonesvilleschools.org if your child is going to be absent and state the reason.
If your child is going to be absent, please make sure you reach out to the teacher to find out their make-up work. Student’s report cards will reflect missed work or unfinished work.
Fall Parent/Teacher Conferences will be October 13th & October 14th. Your child’s teacher will be reaching out to you sometime this week to set up a conference. Parents can choose whether they want a Zoom Conference or an In-Person conference. We are doing our best to be flexible.
Our Classroom acknowledgments are off and going well. Our students earn small orange tickets for showing PRIDE. The students can put their tickets in the orange box to win a classroom experience. The experiences in the month October are: Pumpkin carving, Hayride, Doughnuts and cider, and Fall Hike.
Students will participate in a Fire Safety Day this Friday. A big thank you to the Jonesville Fire Department for helping with this.

Monday: White Out (Wear white shirts)
Tuesday: Toon Tuesday (Wear your favorite cartoon character shirt)
Wednesday: Wild Hair Wednesday
Thursday: Jock Jam (Wear athletic clothes/gear)
Friday: Orange & Black Day (Show your Comet PRIDE!) We hope you are able to support the Comets at the Homecoming game October 8th.
