What's Happening at Williams Weekly Update

Week of September 26, 2022

  • Reminder that the school will be closed tomorrow, Monday, September 26th for Fair Day.

  • Our September Dollar Day is this Friday, September 30th and the theme is “Country Wear Day”. Students can dress in flannel shirts, jeans, boots, hats, etc. and donate a dollar to go into the Student Activity Account.

  • We would also like to remind parents who drop-off and pick up their children that you should stay in your car and your child will come to you or us. This helps to keep the traffic moving.

  • Planning ahead: Picture day is coming up next week on Thursday, October 6th.

  • Planning even further ahead: We will hold our Parent/Teacher Conferences on Wednesday, October 12th and Thursday, October 13th. Parents/Guardians will be able to meet with their child’s teacher either via Zoom or in person. You will be receiving additional communication from them soon.

  • Great academic news to share regarding the MSTEP test that our students took in the spring: Our 3-5th grade students scored higher than the ISD county schools and the state in 7 out of the 8 tests taken! We are super proud of our students and staff for this accomplishment!

  • Finally, we want to remind parents that students can receive free breakfast and lunch every day at school.  If your child comes with a packed lunch then we will know they are not having a hot lunch.
