
Our Comet Cruisers completed their final run on this morning! It was a great day for a 5K. We had almost 50 runners complete the course! The following runners deserve special recognition:
For the girl runners:
5th place was Adelyn Hamilton
4th place was Tessa Toffolo
3rd place was Rielyn Griffiths
2nd place was Sydney Horton
1st place and overall 1st place for the elementary students was Isabel McNair with a time of 23 minutes and 30 seconds for the 3.1 mile run!!! She did amazing!!
For the boy runners:
5th place was Charlie Rogers
4th place was Justin Mandrelle
3rd place was Jacob Sturgill
2nd place was Brody Hale
1st place for the boys was Everett DeGuise
with a time of 25 minutes and 23 seconds.
Special thank you to our middle school student coaches who ran with us and helped monitor the course.
Thank you as well to the high school and middle school cross country and track runners who came to help monitor the course and cheer on the next generation that will take their places.
Also, thank you to all the adult helpers who helped make this program a success. Without your volunteer hours this wonderful opportunity wouldn’t have been possible!
Lastly, thank you to all of our sponsors who helped our students earn their brand new shoes. We have a wonderful community who continues to sponsor us every year and even some new ones this year like the Jonesville Education Association and even Consumers Energy!

Congratulations to our 2024 Cascades Conference Senior Scholars!
These individuals worked hard to qualify for this honor; they had to have received two varsity letters and maintained a grade point average of 3.5 or higher throughout their high school career. JCS had 19 scholars, more than any other school in the conference! Go Comets!

Comet community. JCS has posted the request for proposal, "RFP", for the secure vestibules at the middle school and elementary. If you are interested in this project, please go to jonesvilleschools.org and click on the tab, "RFP". Proposals must be received by May 9th at 3:00. They must be notarized, which can be done here at 115 East st. Jonesville, Mi. It must include a 5% security deposit. Go Comets!

To celebrate the end of MSTEP testing as well as their student teacher's last day, Mrs. Snyder and Ms. Ward's class had a Glow Day. Black lights lite up the room for a fun morning of math! Kids were doing Perimeter and area of shapes and time!
